Depreux Standard steel cord conveyor belting can be produced with the following properties: - Standard Rubber
- Fire-resistant
- Anti-abrasive
- High Temperature
- Low Temperature
The steel cord structure can be offered in The rubber can penetrate perfectly among the steel cords by using open steel cord. This will minimize the corrosion of the belt. Open steel cords also have higher elongation which allows excellent energy absorption in case of impact and easy transition from a troughed to a flat belt.

Rip Resistant Steel Cord Conveyor Belting Structural Property: Insert one or two layers of rip resistant fabric breaker between the top cover and cords, and bottom cover and cords. The standard steel cord belt then has high resistance to longitudinal rips. Structure of standard steel cord: 6 x 7 +IWS
 Structure of open steel cord: K6 x 7 +IWS
By using different rip resistant fabric breakers, we are able to offer Rip Resistant steel cord belting with Nylon fabric breaker. The resistance is 50~80N/mm. This can be produced with a single layer or double fabric layer. Order Code ST/N
Rip Resistant steel cord belting with steel breaker We can insert a steel breaker between the top cover and cords and/or the bottom cover and cords. This gives even greater resistance to longitudinal rips. It also has better resistance to shock loading, and can be jointed with fasteners and can increase the heat resistance in a high temperature application. The rip resistance can reach 125~800N/mm.
There are two different kinds of steel breaker -HE and RE according to the property. He is for high elongation which has no effect on the troughability of a steel cord belt. Such a belt can be used for almost any application which requires anti-ripping in the longitudinal direction. RE is of ordinary elongation which can give additional stiffening in transversal directions. This type of belt is suitable to be used for elevator belts. Order Codes are ST/HE, ST/RE respectively
Steel mesh belting We can also supply conveyor belts manufactured with steel mesh. The belt has good impact-resistant and heat-resistant properties, suitable for stone quarries and sinter plants. Order Code ST/IW
Please contact your DEPREUX technician to select the correct steel mesh to suit your application.
Steel Cord Belting with Rip Detection System
The system can effectively prevent the longitudinal rip in a steel cord belt or decrease the rip length, increasing belt life. The system uses electro-magnetic conductors and computer technology. There are two conductor models which can be inserted while the belt is being manufactured, ST/P1 and ST/P2
Rip Detection System - ST/P1 The coils or continuous loops emit a signal when passing over a sensor, which is then transferred to and processed by the computer. Any break in the loop stops the signal and therefore the belt when it passes over the sensor.
Rip Detection System - ST/P2 DEPREUX has developed an exclusive rip detection system with a U.K. company to replace continuous loop sensing technology. The system has been developed from tried and tested technology using the 'Magnetic Flux Leakage' principle.
The steel cord panel has the same characteristics as the belt, as it can flex laterally and longitudinally without fatigue. It is similar to the steel cord used in radial tires. The panel also offers some mechanical protection against longitudinal rips.
