• Lightweight, portable tool with fully adjustable depth of cut to ensure a rapid removal of conveyor belt covers prior to the insertion of mechanical belt fasteners.
  • Lift the width fixing lever (handle), adjust the belt back stop to a suitable position in order that the required area of the belt for skiving can be exposed to the blade, lock the belt back stop in position by putting the width fixing lever down.
  • Rotate the belt pressing handle counter clockwise, insert the belt into the tool up to the blade, and clench the belt by rotating the belt pressing handle clockwise.
  • Adjust for the required depth of cut by turning the handle that alters the height of the blade.
  • Hold the handle and keep the belt skiver positioned at 90° to the belt edge. Operate the ratchet handle to make the skiver move across the belt, taking a skim off the belt cover.
